Mystery Hole in Eastern Washington Cookie Cutter Phenomenon

I found this bizzare news clip on an old tape.

'No one can figure out how, but a chunk of earth weighing tons was plucked out of a wheat field, as though someone used "a giant cookie cutter," and put down, right side up, 73 feet away. "All we know for sure is that this puzzle piece of earth is 73 feet away from the hole it came out of," said Greg W. Behrens, a geologist with the Bureau of Reclamation at Grand Coulee Dam.'

Scientists now believe that the "Cookie Cutter Phenomenon" is caused by two seismic events intersecting, creating constructive interference, and ejecting out a small chunk of earth. You better hope that it doesn't happen under your house ;)

@spyk316 No, I am not pulling a hoax. This was pulled off an actual VHS tape recorded over 25 years ago during a local TV news broadcast. While the story was probably lost for many years, its back, and one of earth's many mysteries.

I was just reading about lightning trenches, and perhaps thats another likely cause. Lightning is common in this area and a good bolt and leave a nice hole and eject a chunk of ground in another direction.

We humans, including scientists are unconsciously so fearful of stuff we don't know or cannot explain that when confronted with such anomalies we find it easier to sweep it under the carpet than confront it head on.

my theory is it is a sink hole caused by some sort of underground bunker type facility. All throughout the Rocky Mountain chain there are secret facilities being built by the Shadow Government (NWO), with an intricate and vast network of connecting tunnels. There is NORAD at Cheyanne Mountain, Area 51, Dulce NM, and of course the Denver International Airport, just to name a few. Or that was just an amateur Geologist. mostly all comments left for this video are a joke. the subject on mystery sink holes must be address with a serious approach. theres so many happening now that its becoming typical news." oh well, another sink hole". BUT no one bothers to understand how it got formed... and why.
