The York College Players' season stays strong with a performance of the edgy thriller "Bug" by Tracy Letts.
Set in a seedy hotel brimming with conspiracy and a constant threat of insects, "Bug" establishes a world of suspicion, loss, and panic. Waitress Agnes is terrified of her ex-husband's recent release from prison. She has already dealt with her share of pain; her son disappeared years ago, she endured regular beatings from her violent husband, and she is drowning herself in a mess of booze, crack, and cocaine. Gulf War veteran Peter has his own deep-set fears and paranoia. Together, the two characters spiral into a state of fright and disarray as Tracy Letts experiments with the human response to confusion and terror.
