I saw Gabe Kaplan and Robert Hegyes playing Groucho and Chico Mark in Gabe Kaplan's play "Groucho." It was almost scary how much they looked like the characters they were portraying. RIP Robert.

I feel bad for Hegyes in this interview. The guy has spent decades trying to move on from "Welcome Back Kotter," and he gets on the phone with this Tony Rose guy, and all Rose can make is tired Kotter jokes and references. Then Hegyes has to bring his latest project into the conversation (when the host clearly isn't), and after Hegyes describes the premise, the host says, "Sounds like a version of Kotter!" How annoying.

I believe Robert Hegyes played one of the Marx Brothers in fun on Welcome Back Kotter and also on Broadway.
