  • Its safe to say Gordion Brown done well in that race takin out aldous.

  • it wasnt just the world final race it was also scotland v england on that track . the racing was awesome with big hits survival of the fittest

  • Grid Line Up: Eddie Aldous 238 Dirk Jacobs 33 Robert Bruce 330 Gordon Brown 131 Keith Jarman 46 Harold Krievans 156 John Aylward 6 Neil Petrie 202 Noddy Robinson 432 John Burns 121 Detlev Katstein 254 Robert Mackay 114 Deane Wood 302 Willie Miller 8 Louis Haagen 6 Hans Frey 86 Harry Burgoyne 68 Dennis Power 7 Steve Davies 57 Jimmy Forrest 120 Alan Ross 248 Robert George 229 Bob Jones 151 Unknown 75 George Chirray 197 Yvo Gysels 21 Bert Houben 115 Ray Goudy 156 David Forrest 125 Derek Alcock 10

  • I recently dug out the programme for this event and came up with this full grid line up:

  • Technically 131 cut the corner...ref 2.15 mins...cowdenbeath had strict policy about in field... check it out.. he was inside tyre wall

  • Who on earth was the "old woman" just behind Brown for those last few laps? was it Petrie? if so, why on earth didnt he make any attempt to hit him?....

  • Dean Wood was always dirty (take that how you like) he was shite . He spent more time in the fence than a liberal politician. Liked to come back into the race on the last lap though. Great times for Alloa van hire superb

  • never thought id see dean wood jacked in the wall again

  • love the good old days, would it be possible to buy a copy of the tape as i worked for spedeworth scotland at that time,if so can you e-mail me atcaptainsuicide62@aol please and thanks for uploading

  • excellent , great days
