How pathetic. He's trying to cast Obama's questioning of "mandatory sentences" (e.g. should Criminal A get ___ years regardless of the circumstances?") as a question of whether "sentences should be mandatory" (i.e. "OMG Obama supports letting rapists and murderers go free!!").
