The study seeks to refute the perspective that calendar changes in history have resulted in loosing the Sabbath day. Many believe that, since the Sabbath has apparently been lost, that God will not count it a sin for not observing it.
Let's see what the facts say.

  • Samoa (Not American Samoa) recently dropped a Friday so as to be in sync with most of their popular trading partners (New Zealand). Basically they syncronized with the Western side of the international date line. It seems this loss of a day of the week would put their New Sunday on what used to be Saturday. Are the Samoa Sunday worshipers now correct?

  • @tommyb30092 Sounds like they might be. :)

  • I have learned a lot from this channel. I also learned that Rome gave us the names for the days of the week as well as for the months. God only gave, day 1, day 2, etc and day 7 was called the Sabbath, which hasn't changed. You can check on that in DC as well, the naval observatory will tell you these facts. God always has His truth out there. We must be diligent seekers of it and we will find that the Bible is true. Sadly, too many churches are explaining it away using the Bible.

  • @Jimvesterstallone I just started keeping it myself. i never thought about it till the last couple of years.

And it seems right to keep it. SO i do. I get alot of job offers now, but i would have to work saturday, so i spent alot of time trying to see if it made any sense not to keep it. And I really havent found any reason that it shouldnt be.

  • @LiquidSmooth Oh that's very interesting.

I think the simple answer is that we're all in a process of learning...I only just gave thought to why I wasn't keeping Sabbath as recently as the past couple of years. Sometimes we believe what we believe and don't pause to consider why. Now I keep it.

God bless, and thanks for answering. :)

  • @Jimvesterstallone Well, there are some anti-calvinist that teach you should obey the commandments. They also teach that once saved, always saved is wrong.

I'm just wondering how they reconcile not keeping the 7th day sabbath, yet teach that doctrine.

I listen to people like Fractalfires and Refutingcalvinism, and i don't think they teach keeping the sabbath. But I wonder how they reconcile that with their teachings. Thats why i brought it up

  • @LiquidSmooth What does Calvinism have to do with Sabbath? Or this video??? I'm not making the connection.

  • The one thing i would like to see, and i wrote this to some people like RefutingCalvinism, is if they believe the Sabbath is Saturday.

And if they don't could they please make a video explaining how someone could be anticalvinist and yet not keep the 7th day.

I think that is the most baffling thing i encounter about most anti-calvinists.

  • That's a very popular problem.

  • Good job! :)
