I think the soundtrack was chosen for a Griffith DVD set, and this clip ripped from there. I agree though that you're better off pressing the Mute button for this one.
I wonder about the rest of the film, since another upload of it also stops at around 4 minutes. Is this all the material that survives?
The sound is from a 30s cartoon called "Somewhere in Dreamland." It's about two poor children who dream about a land where they can eat a lot of sweets and have a lot of toys.
I agree. I appreciate this being posted, but more appropriate music would be nice - something along the lines of what one would have heard played when it was originally shown.

Yeah,I agree....the added soundtrack doesn't match up to the film.

I don't like the fake talking (presumably the person who posted this up adding the 'voices') It's supposed to be a silent film.
