Osservazioni astronomiche a piazza Ottavilla, San Pancrazio, Roma: CYNTHIAE FIGURAS AEMULATUR MATER AMORUM (La madre dell'amore emula le forme di Cinzia).

La mater amorum era, naturalmente, Venere, e Cynthia, la Luna.
Galileo aveva scoperto che il secondo pianeta mostrava delle fasi cicliche analoghe a quelle lunari (ciò costituiva una prova che girava attorno al Sole).

E i cieli danteschi.
