Mazdaspeed Miata "Homecoming" Downhill Touge Run

A very popular spot in SoCal. Everyone and their mothers knows about this place, so I don't even know why I'm still keeping the name secret. Oh well...

Anyway, I finally got around to uploading a video of a run here. This was taped during Thankgiving break (2006) and is the downhill. For fun, I extracted the tape's timecode to estimate how rusty I am after being away from this road for five months (summer school and fall semester at Cal). Note: the last two digits are not in hundredths of seconds (1/100), they are frames on each second of the tape (30 frames/sec). I'll probably get back up to speed once I go back for Christmas break.

nice car, seen some of your autox vids, u r a good driver man, and btw im thinking about getting a msm myself, but my concern is that i have friends over 6ft, well im 5 8 myself so i dont worry about the space, but how tall are you, does ppl over 6ft hit the roof lol when the car goes over a small little bump

I'm 5'7" and I fit in the car fine. As for you friends, they may have a hard time trying to fit under the roof unless they get a different seat to lower themselves.

U need to turn your HIGH BEAMS on and keep them on. Just try it once with the HIGH BEAMS, you'll see the difference.

The miata is a good car to work with light and agile and dont listen to the people who are all about power they dont know a thing about skill and cant drive.

Very nice driving, although when I went out there, everyone stayed in their side of the road. I went to that spot for the first time just this last weekend and posted videos, only this was my first time ever on a canyon and only my 3rd time driving through the LA area and beyond. You did good though, your car sounds sexy.

well my friend is 6'3" and he fits just fine in my passenger seat in my na miata, but he has a little trouble driving it but still can pull it off.
