actually when the red baron was shot down by the americans he was buried with full military honor by the americans.
besides this is an american news cast first and they are airing something about a ww1 hero. The bbc or Cbc would have no problem airing this along with something about their countries heros.

There are films and documentaries on many war heroes who are not American and in those films and documentaries of heroes from other countries, American heroes and not mentioned there either.
In this case the film is about a particular hero and does not in any way put down heroes from other countries.
