AZ Trip Christmas 2008: BNSF @ Flagstaff, UP @ Maricopa

I stopped on the BNSF and the UP this Christmas when I went out to Phoenix to see family. BNSF was awesome, as all of those trains came by in about an hour. UP was very disappointing, since I was there 3 hours and only saw those 2 trains. My camcorder broke, so I just took pictures and that one video.

That's a beautiful ATSF engine at 0:14. I still wish the Santa Fe was still working there.

I know, I almost missed this train too...I was sitting in the car to get away from the cold and didn't know yet that BNSF doesn't call signals...had to scramble to the crossing

Yeah, I went up to Flagstaff in winter of 07 and I got lots of good snowy pictures.

I was there on the 21 and the 22 in Flagstaff. I was aslo in Kingman on the 19 and the 23. 5 day railfanning trip! it was alot of fun. to bad I mist the snow storm...would of be nice shots
