What?! 1485? What about the Dartmoor and Exmoor Ponies? What about the horses brought over by the Romans?

@dukes0916 No, horses were in England but they were too small to be ridden.

Perhaps they mean 'Wild' horses. As in ones who escaped from Norman Nobles & multiplied. (As they did in the States, after being left by Conquistadors!)
'Course... he's not calling for a wild horse persay! Any horse would have done in those circumstances!

@Calvinistbasset the Normans brought the horses over with them, which is why the saxons were relatively easy to beat
