Subpar? What planet are you from? How many other active players have won 30 titles or stayed in the top 10 for as much time as he has? Roddick may be overshadowed by Federer and nadal, just liek all the other tennis players of this decade, but he's a highly accomplished champion with plenty to his name to back it up.

In isolation, this is a great shot! Not just to win a game, or match, or tournament, but a great shot, period. It should be viewed, and judged, as that only and I'm sure all will agree it's up there as a quality point. Roddick the man, the player, and his achievements, are clearly issues for another debate.

i'd be MORE then happy to give you that list of players. quick question, does this list only have players that have been on tour as long as roddick? or are you using ALL active players, even if they've been on tour for 3 years. please advise

Take a look at the active player list. How many have won a major? How many have been number one in the world? How many have sat in the top 10 for so long? How many have challenged Federer at Wimbledon? On **each** count, the answer is only a handful. He's won the US Open and lost a Wimbledon final by inconvenient scoring, and stayed humble and respectful along the way. If the only player you can compare him to is Federer, than you're probably not worth impressing in the first place
