Group IV Central 800m Sectional Championships

Three members from Hillsborough's 4x800m team managed to get into the seeded heat (out of three unseeded): Rob Marley (seeded 11th out of 12), Alex Brown (seeded 8th out of 12), and Jason Walton (seeded 1st out of 12).

Jason ended up placing second, behind Jackson's Monroe Kearns (1:54.25 to 1:54.41)

Alex also lost a close one, narrowly missing the qualification mark (top six finishers), ending up running 7th.

Marley placed 11th in the heat, after a tough start.

As a matter of fact...if you go to my MoC video on my page, he's to my right. I just realized we ran in the same heat at MoC too. Wow.

I competed against Jason when he was a freshman. I finished 5th in my heat in the group IV 800m in 2006 and he finished RIGHT behind me in 6th. I still have the video...it's just crazy to know that he had come such a long way from running that time his freshman year (1:57). Sad story there.
