"Tears in Heaven" is a ballad written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings about the pain Clapton felt following the death of his four-year-old son, Conor, who fell from a window of the 53rd-floor New York apartment of his mother's friend, on March 20, 1991. Clapton, who arrived at the apartment shortly after the accident, was visibly distraught for months afterwards. This song is one of Clapton's most successful, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the U.S. The song also spent three weeks at #1 on the American adult contemporary chart in 1992.

I have a songbook of Eric Clapton's music, and this is one of the pieces that I just can't bring myself to learn. The reason is not because it is too difficult, but it's because it reminds me far too much of how I miss my father playing this song for me when I was little. My dad, who passed away in 2001, is always in my memory and will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace, Christopher Keith Moore. I love you forever, and always.

My brother lost his baby boy and I held his still body in the hospital after.
Couple of years ago I almost lost my littlest one after a bad accident.
Thank you for the reminder of what is really important.
I gave my three kids a big hug after to be sure.
God bless all those who understand this pain and I pray for your peace.
