Advertising agency DDB visited Goldsmiths, University of London earlier this month (November 2010) to discuss their collaboration with the Department of Psychology.
Daniel Müllensiefen, a lecturer in the Department of Psychology, is currently working as scientist in residence for the agency, a first in the world of advertising.
It is hoped the collaboration will lead to links with the advertising industry which will give the students experience of the business world before they even graduate. DDB has said it wants to gain a more rigorous insight into how advertising really works and a scientific understand of consumers' minds and it hopes a relationship with Goldsmiths will do that.
