  • the sound is fake

  • At the very beginning, the "All Aboard!"? Yeah, that's a sound effect. The rest of it - the train passing by - is the actual sound; I had to drop the volume down as the P42 passed by because it was so loud (the station is on a curve).

  • Actually Vancouver is quite well served by Amtrak: Four daily Cascades trains in each direction between Portland-Seattle; the Coast Starlight (Seattle-Los Angeles) - and then the Empire Builder east to Pasco, Spokane and Chicago - the Builder actually uses a different track, and the station is located within a wye at the south end of the BNSF yard.

    The only problem...there's no bus service to the Amtrak station.
