A venomous dinosaur doesn't sound all that unusual. Recently Paleontologists have discovered that a dinosaur called Sinorithosaurus had what looked like venom sacs above its teeth. Which could've possibly given it a poisonous bite like a Komodo dragon or Gila monster.

When you look at the skeleton of today's frilled lizard, you'll notice a pair of quill-like bones beneath the jaw in the region of the throat, those are the bones that open the frill. If Dilophosaurus was to have a frill like in JP, it would need those kind of "quills", which were completely absent. When it comes to venom, you can just theorize that, seeing how some modern reptiles have venomous saliva, such as comodo dragons.
