Dungeons and Dragons: Revealed

Holy crap, over 20,000 views?! There's something I never thought would happen. Thanks to all who stumbled upon this short!

I probably should have added this a long time ago, but I'd like everyone who views this short to know that I ACTUALLY play Dungeons and Dragons. Everyone in this film plays, and they all knew I was just poking fun. Anyway, moving on:

The man that made it all happen: John Costello. Silly me forgot to put in his name at the beginning of the interview. Anyway, this is a short documentary/mockumentary about the nerd-obsessed game of Dungeons and Dragons. This is pretty much my "rough cut" because I had to compress it down to 5 minutes. As you can see, it's about 7 minutes long. So...yeah. I kinda fudged that.

I'm pleased with this, however, there was a lot more footage that I had wanted to use. Unfortunately, I've scrapped the idea of a director's cut. It would be too long, and I just don't have the time/patience to re-cut everything. This version is the bare-bones of it all, and I still think it's pretty enjoyable.

John is a good friend of mine and understood that this project was simply poking fun at the game a little bit. He did his best to play along. Although he will be happy to hear his acting skills have improved. :)

D&D is an Imaginative Role Playing game not requiring a board AT ALL!!! While boards, maps, miniatures, etc, are a benefit to the game play, None of these are required by those with strong imaginations, open minded, intelligent people. IT IS NOT & NEVER WAS DESIGNED TO BE A BOARD GAME!!! Books & Manuals provide guidelines to playing a character in a fantasy setting, much as an actor takes a role in a play or movie. A "Game or Dungeon Master is the tour guide/god/architect of the realm/theatre

@SaintRi Dude I swear to god that's EXACTLY how it is for me too. Except I'm 20 so I'm singing in a metal band right now. But still,I think it's funny that DnD gets this rep as if only nerds play it. Like,I mean I get girls just fine. And they KNOW I play DnD. I play Magic the Gathering too,and they know that.
