alright people can we voice our opinons without arguing! -_- consider this ... first person melee is limiting and third person melee is leaves little room for noticable change and all this herby failing and tool calling is childish. your on the web it takes no balls to trash talk. and as for the "its a knock off of GOW" -_- no it was written 700 years ago (the divine commedy... look it up!) so can we all play nice and say something productive or at least intelligent .

The point went way over your head, go read the divine comedy, as we stated millions of times before, the game and poem have nothing in common except for a character named dante and 9 circles of hell.

The problem is that DI doesn't really try to be different from other hack and slashes.

Its NOT based on God of War simply because it has nothing to do with God of War. Although the MECHANICS are the same. Both are totally different. Dante is simply epic and Krato or whatever his face is, is just a cry baby who yells alot because he can't have his way.

@stan254 I've read Dante's Inferno- of course it is entirely different from the game, but that makes sense because there is no combat in the book- I enjoyed this game however, based on the fact that I read the book, it does have certain nods to its source material that I can enjoy- such as Minos wrapping his tail around victims of hell according to the circle they should be in- and it reimagines Cerberus, Charon, and others in an interesting way.

i played it.

its not as entertaining as other hack and slash games.. trying to be like god of war but still a good storyline. dante is a better hero than kratos because kratos is more of an asshole than a hero.
