The parents of former University of Washington exchange student Amanda Knox hope news from Italy, where she's serving time for helping kill her British college roomate, Meredith Kercher, will get her back home.

Reports in several Italian newspapers say another man convicted in the case has told fellow inmates that Knox and her ex-boyfriend weren't present when the murder occurred.

One of those inmates came forward recently with the information.

Knox's case is now on appeal.

I totally agree with you hollieeish,

I've just read judge Giancarlo Massei's report and there is no doubt she, her ex-boyfriend and Guede did it!

And I add she and Sollecito played a much more damning role than Guede: they killed her, staged a burglary, cleaned the crime scene and "sweet" Amanda, on top of all this, accused Lumumba of the crime she committed. How "nice" is that?

Mignini is a goon - and railroaded two innocent people to save his worthless career & reputation! No motive, no murder weapon & the one man all the evidence points to (Guede) got a reduced sentence for his crime - the first conviction was a joke. 4 years in prison for two innocent people. Horrible!

Mignini has a motive to lie. So does Guede, but not Amanda and Rafaelle.They are innocent. Mignini should be in jail THIS MINUTE. Thank god the truth IS finally coming out – the staged evidence planted by Mignini’s minions is being rejected and watching Mignini busily trying to muzzle the press would be hysterical if it wasn’t so tragically wrong. No wonder Amanda wants the truth. Meridith’s family deserves the truth. So does Raffaele and his family and friends.

This is ridiculous!! If anyone commit a crime and tell to the parents that didn't and it's being accused wrongfully, they will buy it. Nobody should interview them, they stand by her daughter 'till the end because they believe she's a good person, but nice people also make mistakes.

@iambillym1 Did Sollicito say this to you? If not, what is your source for this quote? I'm not aware of ANY lies, contradictions, or implausibilities either Amanda or Sollecito made. Although they should have been, the interrogations on 11/5/2007 were not recorded. There is absolutely no evidence of either Knox or Sollecito in the room where the murder took place.
