haha poor thing but at least she was able tackle the conditions with a great sense of humor. Yes NZ can be cold and wet but the south Island is worth every raindrop, just a spectacular country.

thanks for the comment...but IT WAS SUMMER...Jan, the warmest time...we were just high up and hadn't planned on camping way in the mountains and didn't bring the right clothes

If I put this clip on YouTube I am open to comments!!! I thought it was funny. The black thing is a vinyl "on one side" picnic ground cloth...the only thing I could find to cover up with.
