  • To get the same effect as the double e-wrap cast on at the cast off, you would have to do it with a needle. Backstitching gives a cast-off like e-wrap, and I'm sure you can copy the double e-wrap, as well.

  • I have seen a ribber for the older Bond machines but am unaware of one for the USM.

The USM is a hobby machine, and actually more difficult to use than a steel flatbed Japanese machine and has a lot less options. If you are serious enough to get a ribber, look for a Japanese metal machine instead. The Brother that I demonstrate on is fantastic, in fact, either the Brother 230, 260 and 270 will give you an excellent bulky knitter. The Studio brand has great ones, too.

  • The pattern is available in four sizes in the book/DVD set, "The Goldilocks Challenge." It can be purchased at diananatters.blogspot.com.

  • I'll probably be Saturday night before I can get the second half up. it still needs some editing and titles. Diana

  • Diana love you videos and im currently working on a project of my own and was wondering could you use the double e cast on as a cast off too? or is there another cast on and cast off method to give the same stitch look at both the begging and end of the work?

  • Diana, I'm curious about his machine. Is it made with the option to add a second needle bed so the ribbing pattern could be done that way. I'm thinking it doesn't have this option but thought it would be better to ask someone who has one. I've never used a flatbed knitting machine but I recently bought my antique circular sock knitting machine that I enjoy.

  • hi diana what is the tenson i would use on my brother kh260 machine, and would i use the same amount of needles as you do on this knit machine? thanks for any help you can give me.

  • hi diana can this tam be done on the brother260?

  • I would like to know if you give private lessons I live in Austin, Tx and I think you do wonderful things with the machine. Please let me know thanks

  • Can you post a text file or PDF of the pattern, please? :)
