Its the Giant Tobacco Horn Worm

I found this big dude chowing down on a plant in the garden. Check out his horn, and is that his face and jaws..... And then watch him destroy this leaf on the plant. Apparently he gets fat and happy, kind of like mitch, and digs into the soil only to turn into a ugly moth type butterfly.

Great video on how destructive those things can be. I hate this time of year and having to deal with picking them off of all my plants in the garden. Yay for my chickens though! They will be eating good this year. :D
