In other news, Scotland's transport network is struggling to return to normal after a day and night of mayhem. Motorists were stuck in their vehicles in the Central belt for hours on end, pupils were forced to sleep in schools and holidaymakers were stranded across the country. Scotland's Transport Minister has apologised for the chaos. In football, Motherwell boss Craig Brown's emerged as the new bookies favourite for the Dons job.
