I arrived at Morrisville at around 10:20AM, and the first place I went to was the MY Ln. crossing at the entrance to NJT's Morrisville Yard. I immediately saw YPMO-01 accelerating from a stop. Powering this train is NS GP38-2 5269, which has a beautiful K3LA, and NS GP40-2 3044.

Next up, I filmed YPMO-01 as it begins street-running down Delmorr Ave. As the train passes, an Acela Express can be seen passing overhead.

About 30 minutes later, YPMO-01 changes direction and begins heading back to Morrisville Yard. Now 3044 is leading, and it has an incredible RS3L.

  • Very nice!

I saw 3044 up in Dover last July; guess it's been hanging around the NJ/PA area lately.

  • I guess so. Speaking of that, I actually saw a Hi-Hood in the Dover yard a few weeks ago.

  • @GenesisSanctuary Darn, a HH in Dover, and I missed it! Now, I always enjoy having the 3010 around (in case you haven't figured that out!), but when it goes for inspection, it's always nice to see a HH filling in!!!

  • Yup.;)

  • Lol bad crossing at the beginning and end :O

  • Tell me about it! It has to be the most delayed crossing I've ever seen!

  • Yeah, that Acela came out of nowhere.:)

  • i like how the Acela flew by randomly and the guy missed it

  • Thanks so much! Yeah, the ex-Conrail Geeps have awesome RS3Ls. 5269 really does have a great horn.:)

  • Awesome video! Love that Leslie on #3044! The NS GP40-2's (the ex-conrail's) have the best sounding Leslie's outside of the SD50's! Awesome catch! NS #5269 has a nice horn! Miss seeing it around here! It has a nice Canadian sound to it.
