Restorative Justice is a theory of justice that fosters dialog between offender and victim, often reaching a much more satisfying conclusion (such a reintegrating the offender back into the community) than our present punitive justice system.
Here, Chris Miller of our local NVC (nonviolent communication) community in Hawaii retells two stories he first heard from Dominic Barter, a certified NVC trainer and innovator in the restorative justice movement in Brazil.
