  • @wutzerface77 no i disc is halfway in

  • you have a disc in your disc drive

  • mine don't sound like that!

  • HDD has bad heads, the loud "fan noise" is the disk spinning up to high RPMs, the clicking/clunky noise is the bad head. it keeps force restarting because the HDD system check fails and the system will not boot unless all system checks pass, i know this is an old video but i'm writing this for anyone else having similar issues with any Mac/PC.

  • If it's upgraded it might have a fan. Some processor upgrades and graphics cards made it necessary. Otherwise it's a noisy HD. I have an iMac G3 with an insanely noisy HD, once I replaced it the thing was absolutely silent except when using the optical drive.

  • @videoproducer100 Yes i know sorry xD It's actualy a heat sink what i saw and yes you are right lol

  • @02500l - There is no fan, and that's why there is a vent on the bottom and a hole on the top. Apple designed some older macs, such as the Cube and iMac G3 with a convection-based cooling system, so they wouldn't be as noisy. The air goes in on the bottom and rises out through the top vent. I like the feature on my imac g3, as it means less noise.

  • @videoproducer100 It actualy have a fan a litlle one -.-* but yes that's the hard drive

  • @videoproducer100

ohhhhh ok i get it!!! but that still sounds like a fan

  • These unites DO NOT have a fan, so don't say its a fan. It is the hard drive running. Old hard drives get noisier over time, so that is what this sound is.
