Also because the stadium gives off an echo so the singer hears 2 secs behind of what everyone else hears.

Most Halftime Shows are lip synced for the cheerleaders and dancers, they create their routines based on the Album versions and Artists tend to stray a little when doing songs on their own. So it helps the routine stay on track with the counts, make sense ?

Wow I have been looking for this forever! Thanks for uploading! Yeah, it's lip synched but so what? I've only seen her do that twice in her whole career and she is one of the best live performers out there so it doesn't matter. Almost all halftime shows are lipped anyways. It was still beautiful.

Yea, she did lip sync this one, not sure why, could be because of such a huge production, it was never really explained on the web site during the time, but she still looked GREAT and the entire lighting, sound, dancing, ect, made HER and the PERFORMANCE look AWESOME!
