Have you ever tried fly fishing the stream just downstream of the hatchery, the one that feeds into Canyon lake? There is a small little area, that is fairly clear, and allows for decent casts upstream. I have fly fished there, and have had luck downstream with nypmhs, but that was when the stream was flooded. I haven't tried it since then, but pulled a 14 inch Rainbow from just in front of the bridge, so if you have time, please try it!
