My black lab is turning 10 in afew months. He just within the last 3 weeks started showing his age.Not as active,not as fast getting up,almost as if to be careful to not hurt himself getting up. I have so many memories,Got him at 9 weeks old & hes been thru thick & thin with me. Hard times for him & me, and here we are still together at 10 years. Its a loss I will face one day in the next year or 2 or 3 or 4 that i do NOT want to face. It will be the hardest loss I will ever face.

BEAUTIFUL tribute to your dog. And I am so sorry for your loss. I have a lab as well who is going on 14 years this fall. I can't imagine what life will be like when she leaves. Ebony sure looked like she lived such a happy and full filled life and I am sure she thanx you for all the love you gave her. Someday soon again you will be together again. Until then treasure the memories. My prayers are with you!

There is no other being on this earth that is as loyal an loving as your Labrador. I lost my Sage (Golden Lab) almost 4 years ago and have just now gotten the nerve to get a black lab puppy. I still get choked up to this day thinking about her. I am sorry for your loss. The unfortunate fact about these beautiful animals is that you will most likely out live them. Nothing in life is for free I guess....
