Will this amp be good at 1 ohm daily driving? And i was looking at the Hifonics brz1700.1d. You guys said it more efficient and less stressful on the electrical system. With that being said. In your opinion is the MB quart or Hifonics is better?

@delvinmacmillen18 The DSC1500.1D is around 1600wrms but discontinued. The BRZ1700.1D is 1700wrms, more efficient and a current model. In this case, the new Hifonics Brutus would be better.

I'm getting this amp and wanted to know if its ok to run it at 12 volts for daily driving? I only have stock battery and alt.

@delvinmacmillen18 You will probably require a battery upgrade for this amplifier.

@MaxxsonicsUSAInc Possibly not.... I have run my BXi1606d (1600w@1ohm) on stock battery and alt for a few years in both my '99 Mustang GT and '06 Chrysler 300C with no alternator or battery upgrades, and no capacitor.
For reference, I believe the alternator in the Mustang is a 90amp.

@Niclexis Great! Unfortunately I doubt that you are at a stable 14V at the amplifier and are probably getting around 1000-1200 watts as there is no way to get around the fact that it takes power to make power and a factory electrical system will not support 1600 watts. Sure the amplifier will function, and you may be happy with the performance, but understand that with an upgraded electrical system you will get the optimal performance from your amplifier. Just an FYI.
