Sweetie (aka Chloe) and her 5 nursing kittens

Sweetie and her 5 kittens were rescued from the San Jose animal shelter and they are being fostered by a family who volunteer for Town Cats, a cat rescue group. See http://www.towncats.org
The kittens are about 3 or 4 weeks old in this video.
The mama cat spends about 80% of her time nursing the kittens, but clearly enjoys it. When the kittens are about 8 weeks old, they will be adopted.

You made a lot of assumptions. Perhaps you hate cats.

I think it is wise to ask questions before making sarcastic comments.

The cat was dumped by someone. She was already pregnant. This cat and her kittens were among over 100 cats and kittens that we fostered over 3 years, as volunteers with a cat rescue organization.

After the kittens were weaned, the cat was spayed.

The cat and all her kittens were adopted. This was possible through the efforts of volunteers, including us.

@whitemacaw Perhaps in this one particular case or a few on here. . But by and large, most people let their cat and or dogs get pregnant voluntarily. I've read many comments such as, "I can't wait until my cat has kittens!". I don't hate cats or dogs. What bothers me is irresponsible owners who don't spay/neuter their pets, then they have babies which of course they have to give away somehow. Which brings me to my original comment, and then more dogs and cats will be euthanized.
