Two Police Officer's Shot Part 01 Of 04

07/06/2005 A police sergeant and his partner were shot Wednesday afternoon inside an East Harlem housing complex, but both are expected to survive their injuries. NYPD officials say 42-year-old Sergeant Patrick O'Boyle and his 32-year-old partner, whose name has not yet been released, were shot inside the Lincoln Houses complex at Park Avenue and 133rd Street shortly before 3:00 this afternoon. According to police, the incident began when the two Housing Bureau officers, who were in plainclothes driving in a car at the time, spotted a man firing two nine-millimeter automatic guns at 135th Street and Fifth Avenue, which is near the housing complex. The officers then chased the man, identified by police as 21-year-old Tyrell Harris, into the complex, where there was an exchange of gunfire. Although it is unclear who fired first, police say Harris fired at least 13 shots at the officers. O'Boyle was shot in the leg, pelvis, and grazed in the head, and his partner suffered a graze wound to his ankle. The officers chased Harris into a building at the housing complex, where officials say he jumped out a relatives 14th-floor apartment window in an attempt to flee the scene. Harris survived the fall, but he was taken to St. Lukes Hospital with a fractured skull and other injuries. O'Boyle was taken to Harlem Hospital in good condition. The other injured officer was transported to New York Hospital , also in good condition. Harris was arrested when at the hospital. Investigators say two other suspects have also been arrested in connection with the incident, but it is unclear what their role in the shooting may have been Part 01 Of 04

I dont know if you know this NYPDCAR4 but "plainclothes" means the same thing as civilian clothes and does NOT mean uniform. I dont know if you are a real police officer or not but you need to get your facts straight before adding a description thats is wordy and confusing.
