Have had both. Wexford is a bit bitter, and has a sort of whiskey aroma and taste, while the Belhaven is smooth, cascading and very tasty. Belhaven is the better of the two, by a longshot.
after having tried both of these, i'm not the least bit surprised at your critique. i felt pretty much the exact same way, i was enthralled by the look of the wexford, it is a perfect looking beer. I thought the taste was ok, but i wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.
as for Belhaven Scottish Ale, this is in my opinion, the absolute epitome of a perfect beer. After all the beer i've drank, this remains my number 1! The taste, texture, smell & color are everything i desire in a beer
I have tried both. Those "widget" cans often make the beer look better than it tastes. Belhaven brews a fabulous stout if you ever get the chance to try it.

I love the look on your face when you opened the Wexford... welcome to the wonderful world of nitro-can beers :)
I actually reviewed the Wexford a few weeks ago. Not a bad beer, the pear flavor is interesting and it is creamy.
Good stuff, keep it up.

That ball in the can is the nitrogen widget. It's meant to produce the super creamy head. Guinness and a lot of canned stouts use that too.
I never had either of these beers but I think my beer store carries
them.
I like your new look! Stay sexy ;)

Wexford sound slike it's akin to Boddington's
