  • Good work, many nice voices. I wonder how many of harsh critics here could sing themselves. This performance is not perfect, but it sure is pleasant to listen to. Thanks for sharing this video with us.

  • Thank you historiands. The best critic is one that is incapable themselves I agree.

  • What have these kiddies ever done to try and help ease poverty anywhere? I bet most of them don't even know what this song was about. It was probably just a chance to dress up and show off.

  • This was a professional production of a stage show called "Back to the 80"s". Yes it was a chance to get dressed up and show off and get paid in the process. The show is a send up of 80's music and High School Musical/Grease. It was so popular it had a return season!

  • This Is Not Funny....At All! #Dissapointed

  • 0:56 - 0:58 .... why does everything now have to have this mechanically processed, materialistic "cutesy beautsy" GLEE sound to an otherwize heartfelt song ?!!?!?!?!

  • I really think that anyone downgrading this video seriously needs to step back and think, the song represents what were trying to do for Africa and is apart of a show which has humour, for the people slagging this video what you should really do is understand the amount of work that goes into a show and rehearsal time etc before making any comments or better still post a reply of your company doing this song for it to be slaged by others

  • our school did a back to the 80's concert

  • i think this is amazing! the one who sings 'there's a choice we're making..' is a beautiful singer!

someone help me out, who's who in this?

  • I think you are right sistersmf

  • Im not quite sure how people are hating on this. I honestly thought it was AMAZING. I was just in a performance of Back to the 80s. We did Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Which was definately draggy.) I think the blocking and choreography on this is great, not to mention the vocals. The man in the front left (Whom I assume was Mr. Cocker) was a bit of comedic relief, but the rest were just knock-dead, spot-on beautiful.

  • @kaydeeisdead Yes maybe, I don't know. Though I am studying music and I am going to become a vocal coach and choir tutor. I am one of those few (unfortunatly) who just can't tolerate performing without putting down so much effort and rehearsing before, and I feel that when other just go up on a stage unrehearsed that it is, frankly, quite nonchalant.

Not saying these guys are like that, but it's not the best of performances and I know t could have benn by far better. Still, good attempt.

  • @Sistersmf I'm pretty sure this is from a performance of the jukebox musical Back to the 80's, which is why it feels like a parody. The whole musical is a parody. :)
