south osetia was georgian teritory since 1000 years bc. osetians were part of georgian 30 century. osetian was king of georgia during 12 century. they have nothing own, everything in ossetian culture is georgian. there dances, food, everything. and now russia who hates caucasians mostly began to vote for independence. there are real republics who has moral right to be independent like Chechnia, ingushia, dagestan, and etc.

"in 1917, after the russian revolution, Georgia became part of the soviet union" FALSE. In 1918 Georgia was part of the Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic, independent from Moscow, than it got ou of it and, untill 1921, it was an independent Democratic Republic of Georgia. And South Ossetia was part of it.
