MS Learn Online is the National MS Society's online educational webcast series. This video features Peter Calabresi, MD, who talks about OCT, or optical coherence tomography and how it can be used to measure multiple sclerosis.
I hate it when MD's are interviewed on topics that actual scientists should be talking about. He clearly doesnt know what is going on, "there is no radiation involved". Uhhh, yeah there is....he should have said instead "there is no ionizing radiation involved".
Thank you, Dr. Calabresi. I've had several OCT tests due to ongoing problems with optic neuritis. They are one of the easiest tests I've ever had to do, and they produce really pretty pictures! :)
