  • Hello Stevenesio, thank you for your comment, I believe the cause of oil starvation was cause by sludge build up in the engine over the years and not by the flush itself. In this particular case using Liqui Moly's Oil Sludge Remover P/N 5200 would have been a better choice. As it is poured in the engine and driven for 300km before an oil drain the additive together with the heat from the engine it will do a better cleaning job by dissolving and breaking up the sludge. Thank you

  • Thank you all for the comments, as a promotional video the intention is to show customers what results can be obtain from using a product engine flush. Although these results will not come with just one usage, it does help to break up and dissolve stubborn oil sludge and carbon deposits in the engine with just one usage. Ultimately there will be advantages to the running efficiency of the engine as compared to not using it. Thank you all....

  • yes sukie, that's exactly what you do.

  • Interesting...

The sludge pic is of an ALH model Volkswagen TDI engine. It looks like you show a clip of the product being added to a BMW engine, and the final result is back to the ALH.

So if I add this stuff to my BMW, it will clean out the crud in my Volkswagen? Simply amazing!

  • @devenking - I dont either. Audi just replaced A4 motors due to sludge. I use engine flush often and feel the motor is quieter and runs smoother.

  • @IPGAuto -- every motor isn't nice and clean inside, as evidenced by these photos: blog.bavauto . com/bmw-e46/bmw-and-mini-oil-sludge-build-up-and-cleaning-long-change-intervals

Granted, this is just one instance of sludge buildup on a dealer-serviced car and I'm not sure of the driving habits of the individual. Bottom line, I (and many others) don't agree with BMW's suggested maintenance schedules!

  • LiquiMoly is a great product, I know many shops that use it. But lets be real, no motor looks like that even after skipping a few oil changes. That oil is straight up gunk, matter in fact thats just grease on there. Every motor is nice and clean inside with the metal having a nice brown dye from the oil. But still, its great to clean the motor out every so often

  • yeah..ooooooooooooooooooookkkkkk,,,i am sure it cleans that well

  • @VeeDubTDI2 - This may be a AHU engine but not a ALH. The center mounted studs on the valve cover were removed on the ALH and the ALH used (7) perimeter fasteners in the aluminum valve cover as opposed to the studs that protrude through the stamp steel cover on the AHU.

And NO offense to the topic starter but these additive bottles simply don't work as advertised. There's no replacement for a proactive maintenance schedule.

  • this crap is just snake oil

  • LOL Good eye.
