Tetanus

Tetanus (lockjaw) is a serious disease that causes painful tightening of the muscles, usually all over the body. It can lead to "locking" of the jaw so the victim cannot open his mouth or swallow. Tetanus leads to death in about 1 in 10 cases. Several vaccines are used to prevent tetanus among children (DTaP), adolescents and adults (Tdap), and seniors over 65 (Td).

hey i was just wondering if i should be worried if i pricked my toe on a shiny screw... said screw's pretty much never been taken out of the wood that it held and hasn't been soiled or anything like that

i'm not sure when my last tetanus shot was, but i had a knee surgery about 7 years ago (probably a good chance to give me a shot while i was under anesthetics, i think...), plus i recently had a physical and the doctor didn't make any mention of tetanus booster updates. am i ok?
