that sounds amazing

Doesn't sound like other Chickering's I've seen - the sound is far too cold. Think they may have gone too far with the restoration work.

Chickering = Vacuum tube sound (warm music)
Steinway = semiconductor (sounds encoded)
-
what's the name of the second music?

My grandparents have a 1919 Chickering Quarter Grand with all original wood and keys (I'm assuming ivory) that just needs some new strings and tuning, though it still sounds fine. I'm kind of hoping I'll inherit it as I seem to be the only grand child that plays piano. (:

@flugelmaniac Liszt Chickerings are in Budapest, and they are not restored... they are the same factory original...but conditioning room....
No new wires..... or nickelled pins..:-)
I dont have the exact measurements on hand, but the piano is over 8 feet long.
