  • Much of the original beaches were man made and trucked in sand. It is being restored again. It's not as natural as you may think. It's not necessarily climate that has caused beach erosion. Again much of these beaches weren't there to begin with. What man puts there- nature takes away and goes the cycle.

  • The beach at the resort has been restored and looks bigger and better than ever! The end of January 2010 they finished the project and we are looking forward to returning to this wonderful resort again this summer.

  • Thanks for posting..we were there in 2003 for our honeymoon and am thinking about going back ...was wondering what the beach looked like now.

  • I was there in 2005, fantastic place!

Sad for the beach aspect now.

    Great video , congratulations.

    Regards - Nuno

  • I was there for my honeymoon in 98. There is nothing you can do about it. It is earth erosion. It sucks that it is happening, but nothing we can do.

  • went in in april 2008,they are pumping sand into large sacks to try and make it man made with large wave breakers out into the sea to stop it happening again, going again this year in may! i love it there and have some great friends.

  • hi the beach is slowley recovering but that footage i have to say is not outside the hotel it is just outside the big jungle which is about a mile down

  • Doesn't the beach have "whales" now? you know, the fake looking rocks?

  • JCV, thanks for posting. Was there in 2006. Very sad. I loved the beach.

  • I have been going there since '97. My last trip was Feb '08. I will be returning this Dec for Christmas and new Years. It is unbelievable how the beach has changed over the years. They have had bladders just off the beach in the water to help the beach from eroding any futher and they have pumped sand back in but it is a very slow process. I will try to film the beach and update when i return. Great Job!!!
