Lol I live in Poland and I don't see the problem... You don't need a calculator to quickly convert American units to SI units - you just need to know how to count and to know the conversion rate...
Thanks for that, glad I'm not losing it! On another note, I was really glad that Barbara was able to go up and come back safely, it helped close a chapter that needed to be closed.
Well, yes Rob Navias actually was a UPI radio reporter the time of the Challenger accident. When Challenger lifted off on that terrible day, Rob said "Class is in session" [because of teacher Christa McAuliffe aboard]--then of course the explosion occurred 73 secs in. So on the recent STS-118 with Barbara Morgan in Aug.-Rob was the PAO for the launch and when Endeavour seperated from its External Tank, Rob said "Class is in session"--this time waiting til ET sep.
Was Rob Navias ever a reporter for NASA at one point? I remember hearing radio news reports filed by him carried by CBC radio when I was 13 immediately after Challenger, am I wrong or has my memory from nearly 22 years ago dimmed? Yes, I'm a hopeless, shameless space program geek, and I make no apologies!!! Just had to ask.
No this is Jeff Carr--sounds a bit like Rob Navias i guess--similiar with the intense, dramatic voice--but Jeff Carr was a NASA JSC PAO in the early 90s--i know him best from STS-58 and 62 in 1994 i think his last was STS-76 in 1996. He is a Public Affairs for United Space Alliance-the prime contractor the the shuttle.
You're so articulate!
