@vedaram1 Double no. It occurs when the septum secundum is too short to cover the ostium secundum completely, a congenital birth defect which allows for blood shunting between the atrium after birth. Instead of looking on a youtube forum for answers, try a google or wiki search.
@pixelperfect so sorry but our web site has gone due to the hosting company going AWOL! but you can find us on face book where we have a forum search for Adults Atrial Septal Defect (Hole in the heart) we are a friendly group and discuss closure, waiting for closure and after closure :-)
The hole at the heart is due to the weakness in the nerves that connects the umblical cord with the Child. This I found in Sanskrit lit., and posted in nanoforum(dot)org discussion board.
I also have that.. Atrial septal defect. im 22 years old and its just now that they've detect i have that kind of congenital heart disease. i need to be operated (ASD path closure) as soon as possible because mine is severely dilated according to the doctors here in the Philippines. sadly the surgery i need is too expensive and my parents cant afford to support my operation. I had this done in manchester in England , in April 2002 , Aged 57 ,
After I had My right lung removed , my heart shunted to the right And exposed an ASD , that had never presented before And was undiagnosed for seven months And I was very ill , happy to say i,m fine at this time .
