really, you think hes a genius lol, but he's mean to people with belief, and also the catholic church provides the laws on morality and values that we should keep!! God bless the catholic church , for it is the one true church of god!

right and do those laws and values include sexual relations with altar boys? i'm not trying to annoy you rocky but i've seen enough of the morality of religion. take a look at the types like falwell and robertson. all full of hate for those that don't believe in thier god or have a different lifestyle they consider immoral.i know televangelists are on the extreme end of the spectrum but many still believe these types and others.religious morality is highly suspect in my opinion.

I agree that the televangelists are a little greedy on the money front, I mean I live 10 min away from hagees cornerstone church and he commands alot of power around here. Also I think that the priest that commit sexual realtions with boys are actually just caused by that by satan, And you know your right aabout alot of things, but religious morality such as the 10 commandments and the golden rule given to us by jesus, these are awesome things that no one ever abide to anymore.

You know, I'm not even sure what I was saying at the time. I guess I was just trying to make a point that the evils of a handful of priests do not accurately reflect the rest of the Catholic Church. I will say, however, that that is a dark spot on my faith and causes me sadness and embarrassment every time it is brought up.

I never gave them an excuse, you are right that they are guilty, but I am just saying that satan even though he needs God's command to be allowed to wreak havoc on the world, can on his own confuse people. The priest were probably confused, but they should have just went back to God.. but they chose another path and that was really wrong. I think that you should still pray for that priest, so that maybe he could ask forgiveness for his actions. Also If I were a victim, I would forgive a priest.

Many people use faith to answer questions when really it's quite simple, they just complicate things.

A man had a lot of sexual desire and little self-control. The human mind is more powerful than many people who follow a faith give it credit for - why don't you allow the poor priests to shoulder some responsibility for the actions instead of giving them an excuse?

You're almost as guilty as they are.

To think that the abuse of children is caused by "Satan's" control of the priests is an insult to the abused. A very BIG insult...

If "God" really was so "Almighty" how could it allow for such things to happen under it's own roof? Should the abused simply "forgive" their attackers?

The Catholic Church does not condone child molestation. The priests, bishops, and cardinals involved were sinners and probably deserve to burn in hell(but that's for God to decide), and the Catholic Church does not deny that. The Church has been full of sin since Judas betrayed Jesus, but that doesn't mean that it based on sin. God Bless!
