My dearest friend was subjected to insulin shock therapy when she was no older than 14. It was the 60's, she had been given a bag of what was probably oregano, but her inquisitive nature brought fear to her loving parents who mistakenly trusted the wrong drs. Watching this brought back horrific memories for her. She would like to hear about others experiences with insulin shock therapy. We'll be watching these comments. Thanks, L's Friend

It hasn't been common pracetice since the late 40s. It was phased out completely by the early 60s in the U.S.

His story made me cry, it's just awful, once (like three years ago), I wanted to be a psychiatrist, but then I started to investigate to know the differences between psychiatry and psycology, and I found all this fraud, all this suffering and pain.

I'm so glad that I didn't become one of them, my soul would be in hell right now, because this is murder, this is like "raping the soul" like one of your videos say. God, I wish people would open their eyes!

The background in this video looks like a scene I remember from Trauma Center, lol.

But yeah, Insulin Shock Therapy was ridiculous.

They wouldnt let him up to go to the bathroom..and he was just a skinny guy with joint problems..and the doctors aqnd nurses were treating him in a denegrating way and instigating him toward being frustrated till he had a fit then they put him in straps for two days and he was screeming and a lot of people were just kind of laughing and didnt care..I tried to speak up the best I could I couldnt do anything though as I was in there..tricked into going in there myself..horrible horrible horrible..

How obvious can it be that something like this is nothing but harmful. I think you have to be sadistic to participate as a health care worker in this. This is torture..torture to people who do not fit in or who arent compliant with the status quo...Sick just sick..A lot of people dont have a conscience and realyy cant understand why something like this is very bad..and that rattles me quite a bit..When I was inpatient once they had this guy strapped to a bed and he was screeming..inhumane

horrific...I was just reading about this on wikipedia...how can anyone be sane when they are put into insulin shock and put into a fitful coma? Nightmarish thinking about this..I cant believe humans can ever think this can help..I read how dehumanizing the procedure was...It makes me want to cry right now.

when I was committed 6 years ago (I was barely 15) they gave me two choices;to cooperate with them at a voluntarilly basis(take meds, agree to stay for 6 months for `so called treatment` or to be forced to cooperate by some judge. so what kind of choice did I had? They forced me to take anti psychotics (seroquel) on a daily basis.. (these actually made me hear many screaming voices all around me,I saw strange patterns crawling over the ceilling and was completely stunned, they screwed me up..
