This is a first attempt to use the depth information from Microsoft Kinect sensor to turn every surface into a digitally interactive surface.

The prototype employs only depth information to compute touch point.
In the video I made use of a customized version of the calibration utility from CCV 1.4.

Thanks to Wilson's ITS 2010 article for the inspiration.

  • Hi there. Working on this at the University of Saskatchewan from the other side. We're using the Kinect as a top-down sensor for capturing hands and arms over a tabletop and providing appropriate remote embodiments for distributed clients. Best of luck on this.
