About Kartemquin Films
Kartemquin was founded in 1966 to produce documentaries that examine and critique society through the stories of real people and serves as a home for independent media makers who seek to create social change through film. Kartemquin has produced renowned films like Hoop Dreams and The Interrupters, and has won many major critical and journalistic prizes, including an Emmy, a Peabody, and an Oscar nomination.
