It's really not hard at all. You don't have arrows of room, the key is versatility, especially on the new pattern Kegel came up with. You need to be able to do more than 1 thing with the ball to have success.
Ha ha. I have bowled in quite a few tournaments and man are you right! We shoot a typical house shout and think we can bowl at any lane and then when our ball doesn't hook when we want it to, we are like "what the fruit loops happened? My ball used to hook like crazy and then this?". "Wow". Nice video man.
USBC nationals have a notoriously difficult shot. Accuracy in target ans speed are critical. It's murder for those of us spoiled by typical house shots.
It's a great experience if you have never done it. It's bowling's biggest event and a try showcase for the sport.
Were the lanes tough? I am considering giving it a try next year. Every tourney I enter that has a pro oil pattern down, I win and average over 200 on. I seem to do great on the hard patterns, not many revs on ball.
how long is that shot??

Thanks for posting the video - you gave me a great look on how to play - and how not to play - the lanes from the left side.
