Type of the set: Trick Room user/Baton Passer
Item: Petaya Berry
Nature: Relaxed (+ Def - Speed)

Ability: Filter: Whenever a move is used on this Pokémon that is super effective, the damage is decreased by 1/4.

Moves:
-Trick Room
-Calm mind
-Baton Pass/Barrier
-Psychic

Evs:252 HP/252 Def/6 Sp.def
0 speed IVs
Final stats with such EVs:(if u had 31 IVs in such stats,except speed obviously)

HP 284 Mr.Mimes weak point,this HP is nice but it had to be maxed to reach it.
Atk 126 Doesnt matter
Def 251 Pretty nice,can become 502 with a Barrier if u decide to choose it
Speed 166 Not that slow so vs very slow pokes kill them first and then active trick room
Sp.atk 236 Nice for no EVs,can be quickly boosted with CMs and the petaya
Sp.def 277 Awesome,with only one CM it becomes 415

Resistances: /2 Fighting, /2 Psychic

Weakness: X2 Bug,X2 Dark,X2 Ghost

Most things are neutral as you can see.

Description: A Trick Roomer for the NU tier or in standard if u dare.The main goal is to obviously set up trick room,from there u can calm mind hoping they will activate the petaya,from there Baton pass or kill/sweep with Psychic.If you want to use a selfish Mr.mime,remplace Bpass for barrier,so it can get a 502 Def in one turn to have more turns for calm minds.I recomend Baton pass though.Also u can use soundproof as the ability if u fear roar will ruin you.
Set the room and then good luck setting up all you can!

  • I have been working on some stratagies involving self healing moves and I was just wondering if any one knows wich is more effective between reflect and barrier. I know reflect cuts the damage from physical attacks in half and barrier sharply increases defence. But I don't know how much that defence increase takes off of the damage you take. Any one know how defence calculates into the damage you take?

  • @kurisu925 I will try to explain it simple,Reflect and Barrier raise the same defense(X2).So they are the same,but with the following differences

    Reflect:Is still active if you switch,and protects all the team,but dissapears after 5 turns

    Barrier:Its gone if you switch(But It can be baton passed),only protects one poke,but it only disapears if you switch,and you can use it 1-3 times.

    1 time=Original def X2

    2 times=Original defX3

    3 times=Original defX4

  • @Jake68955 OMG! exact sme moveseet as mine!, only mine holds light clay, makes the duration last for 8 moves insted of 5! :)

  • @XxMforzxX I understand the stat boost of the move but I didn't know if using barrier one time would reduce the damage taken by the same amount as what reflect does. Also in double battles isnt reflect's bonus slightly weaker?
